Join the FlexTalk team and experts from Australia’s RACE to 2050, EA Technology and FlexForum to help shape the future of energy flexibility in Aotearoa.

In the first half of the workshop, we will present what’s happening in this space locally and internationally and what we have learnt from others’ adoption of flexibility. Our international experts including Bill Lilley (RACE 2050) and Esther Dudek (EA Technology) will share how their nations have transitioned to a more flexible energy system, while Brian Fitzgerald from EECA and FlexForum will brings us up-to-date with activity happening in New Zealand.

In the second half, we want to hear your thoughts on our plans for the next FlexTalk trial which will focus on the integration of smart devices into New Zealand’s energy system. We will be seeking your input into designing scenarios and grid configurations

  • International Scan of Flexibility Projects: Hear the latest findings from EA Technology’s global scan, covering local and international projects key objectives and the challenges solved.
  • Expert Insights: Hear from international experts about how their countries/networks have transitioned to a more flexible energy system and what’s working for them. Gain insights into transition paths and how these might be applied in the NZ context.
  • Interactive Sessions: Be part of designing scenarios and grid configurations as part of the next stage of the FlexTalk project, focusing on integrating smart devices into the NZ energy system.
  • Industry Expert Presentations: Hear from leading experts including RACE’s Bill Lilley, EA Technologies’ Esther Dudek, EECA’s Brian Fitzgerald, FlexForum and the FlexTalk team.
