We are in the process of an LV data capture project – including updating GIS records to align with what’s in the field. Part of that is to label the cables with the ICP and phasing. GIS records also have fuse size and phasing captured. We don’t label the fuses themselves.

LV circuits out of our Building Substations, Kiosks and Distribution Cabinets are all labelled with their destination. Customer service cables out of Distribution Boxes are labelled with ICP stickers. OH has no labelling at present, but now that we are using Krone switches for our OH LV ties we are looking at labelling them if there is more than one Krone switch on a pole.

LV circuits which have the ability to be interconnected are labelled as such. The LV network in the Hamilton CBD is all labelled on both O/H and U/G with specific and unique numbers for operation. This standard is currently in the process of being reviewed with the desire for it to be rolled out to the wider area network.
