Read more. \nThe FlexTalk Seed project provided crucial practical experience in installing and managing smart devices including home energy management systems (HEMS) and hot water/AC monitoring and control in residential settings\, setting the stage for larger-scale deployments. HEMS act as a central hub\, connecting appliances and energy resources to optimise electricity use\, aiming to reduce costs. \nPhase 3 is currently underway\, focusing on installing HEMS in over 100 homes in collaboration with The Lines Company. DESCRIPTION:The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) have recently published The New Zealand guide to temporary traffic management (NZGTTM).  The Guide moves away from the traditional scenario based guidance\, to outlining how to use a risk-based approach to plan and mitigate the risks to road workers and road users to keep them safe. \nThe EEA through the Temporary Traffic Management Working Group have developed a document that provides practical guidance for Electricity Distribution Business’s (EDBs) to assist with the consideration of major risk factors and assessment of the appropriate risk mitigation and control measures involved with work\, which is of short term duration\, low risk to road users\, and carried out in the road reserve\, i.e. not in a live lane. \nTo support the release of this guide the EEA will be hosting a webinar explaining the background and application the guide. \nJoin us at 2pm on the 27th March to hear more. \nOur thanks go out to the working group supporting the industry with the publication the Temporary Traffic Management – Risk-based Scenarios Electrical Distribution Industry. \nTo register for the webinar which is via MSTeam use this link here: Register for this webinar
