    Hi all,

    Interested in hearing from Damstra users about opening the system to approved contractors. While we’ve been recording contractor companies and individual employees into the system, we haven’t (as yet) opened up their ability to use the system (e.g. log incidents via Notify and maintain their own records).

    Any insights (pro’s, con’s, how to etc.) would be appreciated.

    Hi Marty,

    We have use Vault Contractor portal in the past, about 3 years ago we switched it off and manage our contractors in the main system of Vault.

    The Pro’s would be not having to upload documents, can manage induction records

    The Con’s – not user friendly (may have change since then), find it easier to manage in the main system.

      Thanks Kathryn. We use the main part for recording basic information too, but don’t give the contractors access.

    Hi Marty

    I did with a previous employer, but we haven’t here yet (we use Damstra) – our main contractors are not Damstra users, and we are about to look at what else is on the market.

    My Pros and Cons echo Kathryn’s reply – especially us not having to constantly update contractor training records.

    Hi

    we have given portal access to contractors in the past (you can restrict names in the dropdowns) for event reporting and a couple of contractors were using the Check app at one depot.

    While the portal access worked most contractor were more likely to just submit on their own incident form instead
