About EEA

Standing Committees

The EEA facilitates several working groups, made up of representatives from across our membership and industry, to develop engineering, technical and safety standards, guidelines and best practice documents that support, improve and build on the knowledge and understanding of industry safety.

The EEA also works closely with a number of government and overseas project-based working groups, including the OSH Approved Code of Practice on Tree Trimming Working Group, the Tree Regulations Working Group, and the Distributed Generation Working Group.

Asset Management Group

The vision and objectives of the Asset Management Group (AMG) are to provide leadership and guidance for effective asset management for the electricity supply industry.

Capability Development Group

The role of the Capability Development Group (CDG) is to provide collaboration and coordination across industry members and stakeholders, and provide leadership to enable sustainable professional development and transitioning to technology for technical and safety professionals in the electricity supply industry.

National Committee on Live Work

The role of the National Committee on Live Work (NCLW) is to be the authoritative industry body for the discussion and resolution of national issues affecting live line work and live work on networks in the electricity supply industry.

Public Safety Working Group

The Public Safety Working Group (PSWG) is a joint working group which was established in 2014 by the Electricity Networks Association (ENA) and the EEA.

Safety Standards and Procedures Group

The Safety Standards and Procedures Group (SSPG) is a key Standing Committee of the EEA.  Its role is to be the authoritative and coordinating industry committee for discussion and resolution of national issues affecting safety in the electricity supply industry participants.
