As per AS/NZS1891.4 – height safety manager is defined as a person who is competent in the selection, design, manufacture or installation of height safety systems or equipment, or the development of control measures or work practices.

Does anyone know of any company offering this training and associated certification?

Hi Bill, Think you will find Pinnacle Access can help you. Nathan Meger is one of the best height guys in NZ https://pinnacleaccess.co.nz/contact/

He used to work for Fire & Safety training, who used to be able to do this training, but not sure still can now.

    Hi Bill

I think you might be struggling here – even in Australia there doesn’t seem to be a course that can make someone qualified (or even deemed competent).

The problem seems to be that there is a large difference between an experienced operator (selection, installation, and work practices) and consulting/engineering (design, manufacture, certification).

There are quite a few NZ companies that train the former to NZQA standards.

let us know how you get on????
