    Hi

Just wondering how widespread the use of Pelco ladders is today and if any companies are buying new ones?

I still don’t believe anything has changed around them not having the standard, does anyone know any different?

Morning Brent. Pelco’s still don’t comply with the NZ standard because they use laminated timber. We are evaluating glass ladders currently as Rod has timber supply problems for the AllRight ladders

We have made the move to Branach ladders a couple of years ago and we have had several with issues, these include,

The bracket that holds the sections together has bent and the ladder has had a large amount of sideways movement, leading to the sections of the ladder have become separated. We have been told that we need to alter our trucks and the way we store/transport the ladders, they have said we need to fit rollers to our trucks

    Cracks around the styles

Branach are looking at the faults, to date we have sent 5 of our 9 back to Branach with faults so far.

The guys have lost confidence in the Branach ladder as they also say it has an excessive amount of sideways flex and they don’t feel safe on them.

I know there are a few companies out there using them, is anyone else having similar issues?

What other options, Alright are hard to find information on, and I believe having issues with timber supply, and I don’t know if they are made to NZ Standard.

How many off you are still using old Pelcos? And how many of you are purchasing new Pelcos?

Does anyone have a copy of the Worksafe / Pelco correspondence?

Be happy to get any feedback or ideas.
