The New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Traction Line) (Level 4) [Ref: 3988] is due for its first review in 2024.

A group of industry and provider representatives will meet to discuss whether the qualification is fit-for-purpose. For example, do the outcomes match industry’s requirements of the graduates, and do the credit values of the outcomes fit the time required to learn them?

If you would like to contribute to this review by being part of the technical advisory group or would like to be informed of progress through regular emails, please write to qualifications@waihangaararau.nz, using Traction Line as the subject.

They will also develop skill standards specifically for the traction line programme to replace the unit standards listed below.

31966 Install, tension, and terminate traction wires

If you have feedback related to the content of these unit standards, please write to qualifications@waihangaararau.nz, using Traction Line as the subject.
