ESI Trainers Forums

The Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) Trainers Forum brings together trainers from across New Zealand’s electricity supply industry to strengthen training practice and support better learning outcomes.  Over two days, participants explored learner-centred training, mentoring, communication, and assessment approaches that help learners succeed in technical environments.

The forum focuses on the skills trainers need to help learners succeed in technical training environments.  The programme explores how mentoring, communication, and learner-centred approaches can improve safety, competence, and workforce capability across the sector.

The forum is designed for trainers, assessors, training managers, and others involved in workforce development in the electricity supply industry. Participants hear from experienced practitioners, take part in practical workshops, and contribute to discussions that will help shape future trainer development across the industry.  The forum help build a community of practice for trainers, supporting stronger collaboration and shared learning across organisations.
