  • Vehicle – mounted truck loader cranes, pre-operational inspection

    Kia ora all,

I would like to know if its standard practice within our industry that operators perform and document a pre-operational inspection (visual & functionality) before use.

Or do most EDB’s only perform routine and annual inspections?

    Regards,

    Arran.

Long time no see fella, hope your well.

    The ACOP for cranes states:

The crane operator shall carry out appropriate daily inspections of equipment before use – or words to that effect.

As you know we require daily inspections (sheets) to be completed.

    Cheers

    G

Kia ora G, it has been a while and doesn’t time fly. Enjoying my time down here in the South Island on the Westcoast. I hope yourself and the team up north are doing well.

Thanks for the provided guidance within that space, and I am sure we will cross paths in the future.

    Nga mihi,

    Arran.
