We have lift plans for HIABs , crane truck. Variable compliance. We don’t use mini diggers for lifting but would require a certified lifting point and lift plan for excavators being used for lifting. Any outside contractors used for crane lifts are required to have lift plans. I have seen some of these and was not impressed, especially for complex lifts. There is widespread lack of knowledge about temp works management, lift plans, excavations, scaffolds etc. do require engineered solutions in many cases but do not get them.
