Hi Craig, on solar farm construction sites we ask our site managers to subscribe to Metservice weather warnings for the area and also use the My Lightning Tracker & Alerts app by JRustonApps B.V. – and make sure they enable notifications. This app has a map indicating the spread of lightning in the area which can be used to see when it may ease. Apart from that we just say “If lightning is close, work should stop and people should take cover in vehicles or buildings until the risk has passed”.
