Health and Safety Forum is an open forum for members of the Electricity Supply Industry to discuss health and safety matters and learn from each other.

I posted this same issue back on 1 October on EWRB changes. When they first mooted the changes, I emailed Susan from MBIE last year pushing our case and the EDI industries. The response was they would consider it. The announcing email in my post, they’ve basically given the employers the bird. They don’t want a relationship with the employers. They want it with the electrical workers. Already our employees have had issues with the EWRB’s new web site – double charging, not able to get past certain stages. Currently we have two unlicensed staff as a result and they’re still struggling to get sense out of the EWRB because every time you email them, you get a different responder (with no last name). They could take a book out of other government agencies and have a case manager.
