The CCF User Working Group (UWG) has started to break down the CCF 10 HV Supply Electrician.

The first Subclass 10A HV Supply Electrician – Inspection. For inspection of distribution network equipment. Pre-requisite of 2A and knowledge of Unit Standards

• 14328 Carry out an inspection of substation equipment

• 14331 Carry out safety and operational inspection checks on substation auxiliary plant and equipment

The second subclass 10B HV Supply Electrician – Maintenance. For maintenance and repair of network distribution equipment. Pre-requisite 2B-1 & 10A. Knowledge of Unit Standards

• 32057 Carry out routine inspection and service of a power transformer

• 32058 Carry out routine inspection and service on a high voltage circuit breaker

• 14294 Carry out insulating oil sampling and voltage breakdown tests

• 14288 Carry out tests on battery banks and charge systems

Our next meeting is 19 September where we will review any comments from the industry and look to include more competency subclasses. All feedback welcomed.
