Currently we have a couple of internal trainers who would undertake the training and an independent internal assessor for the unit standard assessment to maintain that separation/avoid conflict of interest.

We don’t currently specify a minimum exposure/experience level although this will be part of the discussions moving forward (the old argument of how do you learn without doing etc…) and may be separated into an intensive initial training session and a refresher session depending on industry experience/exposures.

Up for discussion with our teams is what task specific situations they want trained on vs just following the EEA live procedures only. There are a lot of situations they may encounter so we want them to engage so we give them what they need for the majority of work they do and deal with the curly jobs case by case.

The tools etc is a given and will be included as the training is developed.

It’s all a bit overdue but we have to start somewhere and are hoping others may be further down the track or want to jump onboard, so we aren’t all reinventing the wheel…again 🙂
