Photo competition: Timeline extended!

The annual EEA Photo competition is back – this is your chance to show a bit of creativity and highlight the best of the industry, be it assets, people, technology or electricity in use.

We decided to revise our timeline to include the summer break – entries now close on Friday 24 January, 2025 before member voting to select our winner begins. The winner can choose either a free registration to the annual EEA conference, or a $250 gift card.

All eligible entries will go into the EEA photo library for use in our publications, social media or website. The winning shot – as voted by members – will feature on the cover of the 2025 Annual Report.

The winning image was submitted by Chicane Newcombe from Omexom. The image description is 'Pot of Gold at the end of the Manapouri'.

The second place image was submitted by Rebecca Wheeler of Marlborough Lines. The image description is 'Redwood Pass line upgrade, Marlborough Lines'.

In the third spot is an image supplied by Sonny Singh from Sparrow Construction, described as 'A day in harness'.

To be eligible, everything shown in the photo needs to comply with all relevant regulations, standards and best practice guidance. Images that show a breach of these, will not be considered.

All people identifiable in the photo must also agree to the image being submitted or they might get a shock when they turn up on our website or the cover of a publication!
