    Just a sound out;

    Who does theirs in house?

    Who gets an external contractor to do it all?

    Do any companies have an STMS set up and then transfer over to a TC on the site? If yes; is the TC one of your staff or the contractors? If you do this, what level of complexity for the sites?

    In anticipation; Looking forward to your replies

    Hi Bill,

    MainPower has engaged Fulton Hogan to do the majority of our TTM. They provide the STMS who typically remains on site. I understand we are paying around $30k per month for this service.

    Our guys will still do the minor shoulder closure sites.

    Regards

    Stephen

    Predominantly internal currently however this is about to change to an outsource model later this year/next.

    Central Otago is fully outsourced already as are major urban jobs however this is not feasible in our satellite depots due to resourcing issues.

    We contract everything out except small Shoulder closures and even then we sometimes get a contractor to set up and hand over to a TMO, problem now is that to maintain a STMS or TMO qual its a pretty full on process.

    What traffic qualification is required for a Faultman to change a fuse on the side of the road?
