This full-day working forum is the sector’s dedicated platform for tackling the data and information challenges that underpin effective asset management across New Zealand’s electricity industry.
The programme moves beyond discussion to action — this year’s AIMForum is focused on co-developing outputs the industry will actually use. Building on last year’s workshop, which identified the sector’s priority areas, we’re now shifting from “identifying the problems” to “starting to design the solutions.”
Engage with peers and contribute directly to workstreams that will shape how our industry governs, integrates, and utilises asset information for better decision-making across transmission, distribution, and generation.
Whether you work in asset data, information management, network planning, or operations, this is a unique opportunity to move the needle on two critical industry priorities.
Agenda
This year’s forum is structured as a working session across two focused workstreams:
- Asset Information Governance Framework — defining what good practice looks like, from ownership and roles to policies and standards, with agreed outputs and volunteers to help develop the framework further
- Common Data Models — identifying priority datasets for standardisation, current pain points, and practical next steps toward common data structures across EDBs
This is a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to tangible industry outcomes — not just hear about them.
Don’t miss your chance to help shape the tools and frameworks our sector will rely on. Secure your place and be part of building something that matters.
