There’s never been more interest in the potential for solar PV to contribute to electrifying our nation and providing access to affordable, abundant electricity.
Globally, the solar PV journey has not been without challenges. Here in New Zealand we have a window of opportunity to take proactive steps to put in place the right standards, systems, processes and guidance. But we need to act quickly and move together.
Join with the other stakeholders tackling this challenge as we align on what’s been achieved and identify the next opportunities and priorities.
Purpose
This interactive workshop jointly hosted by the EEA and SEANZ will address how we collectively resolve technical barriers to accelerate solar PV update, covering DG, balcony solar, metering, and appropriate battery use. The workshop’s overall purpose is to progress development of an industry led roadmap that sets out priorities for a longer term collaborative work programme.
At the workshop we’ll collectively align on the overall problem statement, scope, and objectives. You’ll hear insights from Australia’s solar roadmap from Conference keynote speaker Mark Patterson; from suppliers and customers about the barriers they are experiencing; and from EECA and the Electricity Authority about work being progressed in this space.
Interactive sessions provide an opportunity to workshop the priority issues and opportunities for standardisation and consistency, education and training, collaboration and coordination – providing the basis to commit to the next steps in developing and delivering an industry led roadmap.
